Hapag-Lloyd has announced a general rate increase (GRI) of US$2,400 per TEU and US$3,000 per FEU in the Transpacific eastbound trade from East Asia to all U.S. and Canada destinations as of June 15, 2021.
This rate increase will apply for all dry, reefer, non-operating reefer, tank, flat rack and open-top containers.
East Asia is defined as being the countries/districts of Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Macau, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia, the Philippines and Russian Pacific Coast Provinces.
