The port of Singapore handles 53.1 million tons of freight, a 2.0% increase over the same month in 2019. The increase is driven by the growth of containerized goods, which totaled 32.5 million tons, up 1.5% on year or 3.2 million TEUs in number, up 1.1%.

In the first three months of the year, the port processed a total of 151.8 million tons, volume similar to the same period last year. Container traffic rose 3.0% to 90.5 million tons, or 9.3 million TEUs, up 4.2% year on year.
