In accordance with the 2019 review of the limits of liability under Article 24 of the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air, known as Montreal Convention, the revised limits of liability will take effect on December 28, 2019.
In the carriage of cargo, the liability of the airline in the case of destruction, loss, damage or delay will be limited to 22 SDRs per kilogram instead of the existing 19 SDRs.
The limits of liability prescribed in the Montreal Convention are reviewed by the Depositary at five-year intervals by reference to an inflation factor.
