In the first four months (January-April) of 2019, 192,091 TEUs of containers were traded in ferry services between South Korea and China, which only increased a mild 1.8% from a year earlier, according to statistics compiled by a local ferry association in South Korea.

As for container volumes on major routes, 14,715 TEUs were moved between Incheon and Weihai, down 9.5%; 10,199 TEUs between Incheon and Yentai, up 5.7%; 12,905 TEUs between Pyeongtaek and Yentai, down 0.4%; 10,309 TEUs between Incheon and Qinhuangdao, up 12.6%; 14,775 TEUs between Incheon and Lianyungang, up 9.1%; 14,746 TEUs between Pyeongtaek and Weihai, down 6% and 15,823 TEUs between Pyeongtaek and Rizhao, up 8.3%.
