Container throughput at the port of Hong Kong made a turnaround to a positive increase of 12.4% to 1.666 million TEUs in October. Kwai Tsing terminals handled 1.326 million TEUs, up 8.6% from a year earlier while other terminals including midstream and river trade roared 30.6% on year to 340,000 TEUs.
In the first ten months, box throughput at Hong Kong totaled 15.905 million TEUs, down 5.9% from the same period last year.
