Indonesia's state-run port operator Pelindo II is set to inaugurate full commercial operation of the New Priok Container Terminal (NPCT 1).

NPCT is part of the first phase of the New Priok which is the government infrastructure project to ease the severe congestion at the nation's gateway port of Tanjung Priok in North Jakarta.

It will have a berth length of 850 meters on the 32-hectare site with a capacity of 1.5 million TEUs per annum and be capable to accommodate 13,000-TEU class vessels after the full completion slated for late 2016.
