Container throughput handled at Russian seaports plunged 25.4% year on year to 3.94 million TEUs in 2015, according to the Association of Commercial Seaports (ASOP).
The ports of the Baltic Basin handled 1.98 million TEUs, down 29.3% from a year earlier, Far East Basin 1.22 million TEUs, down 24.2% and Azov - Black Sea 600,00 TEUs, down 1.2%, respectively. The fast-growing Arctic Basin terminals processed 138,100 TEUs, up 9.5% year on year.
