Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd. (SIPG) posted an 4.5% year-on-year container throughput increase to 35.285 million TEUs in 2014, presumably retaining its position as the world's busiest container port for five consecutive years as it leads 4.33 million TEUs on Singapore in box traffic for the Jan-Nov period.
SIPG posted revenues of RMB28.7 billion, a 1.9% rise from the previous year. Net profits that belong to the shareholders increased by 27% year on year to RMB6.68 billion.
