The Japan/Philippines Freight Conference (JPFC) has decided to adjust the current Manila Congestion Surcharge of US$7 per revenue ton downward to US$0.80 per revenue ton, effective January 1, 2015 until further notice.
The carriers group recently conducted fresh review of the prevailing situation based on the data covering the period September / October / November 2014 to come up with Manila Congestion Surcharge applicable for January 2014.
The underlying calculation result suggested justification of additional cost of US$0.83 per revenue ton.
