Japan exported 864,423 tons of containerized shipments to China in September, which decreased 3.1% year on year, according to a report on container movement between the two Asian economies unveiled on Nov. 28 by the Japan Maritime Center (JMC). In contrast, imports from China to Japan increased 2.9% to 1,891,354 tons. Container movement on the trade was favorable in both directions on a value scale, with outbound containers from Japan to China going up 7.1% to \577.1 billion, and inbound containers, up 8.9% to \1.247 trillion.
