Japan Customs signed a mutual recognition arrangement (MRA) of AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) programs with Malaysia in Brussels, Belgium on Friday. For Japan, Malaysia is the seventh MRA country following New Zealand (May 2008) U.S. (June 2009), EU and Canada (June 2010), Korea (May 2011) and Singapore (June 2011).
The implementation of this MRA is expected to effectively enhance trade security and facilitation for both sides, and thus promote bilateral trade.
