In accordance with the Gabonese so called Plan sectoriel Environnement du Plan Stratégique Gabon Emergent (PSGE), the Gabonese government has decided to strengthen rules on imports of used vehicles, according to French carrier Delmas.
Under the regulations, used vehicles older than 3 years are banned from imports to Gabon. The original car registration document or a legal copy will be required for all imports of used vehicles.
This measure comes into application several weeks after the decision taken by the Gabonese government on September 18, 2013. Therefore shippers can proceed with customs clearance until November 1, 2013.
