Thai Customs is replacing the Gold Card License with the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) license effective October 1, 2013.
Under the Gold Card scheme, importers/exporters with good record and reliable background who meet the Customs established criteria had been granted various privileges relating to processing Customs procedures, but they will be cancelled on September 30. Thereafter Thai Customs will offer the same privileges to customs brokers holding the AEO license.
Gold Card licensees who have submitted an application for AEO status to Customs' Registration and Customs Privileges Division will be allowed to enjoy those privileges for a certain period of time.
