About 500 dockworkers in Hong Kong ended a 40-day strike on Monday, as they accepted a proposal by four contractors operating at Hongkong International Terminals to raise wages by 9.8%. The dockworkers initially demanded more than 20% pay increase and called strike on March 28.

The dockworkers are expected to return to work in a few days.
