Japan International Freight Forwarders Association Inc. (JIFFA)’s Education Committee held a ceremony at its head office in Tokyo on Tuesday for honoring students who did very well at its fiscal 2012 (April 2012-March 2013) Course for Qualifying International Multimodal Specialists held in Nagoya.
JIFFA Chairman Jiro Nakamura, vice president of Nippon Express Co., Ltd. (Nittsu), presented certificates and commemorative gifts to the four top performers.
The course has been provided every year since 1985 in Tokyo and Osaka (also in Nagoya once in three years) to educate and certificate international multimodal specialists.
In fiscal 2012 (April 2012-March 2013), the Nagoya course was held from Feb. 5 to March 14, 2013. A total of 30 lectures were given in a total of ten days, which was attended by 52 students, 51 of which passed the qualification exam.
The JIFFA has to date produced 4,554 international multimodal specialists since it opened the course in 1985.
