The Port of Kobe’s container exports and imports totaled 186,910 TEUs in July, up 7.8% year on year, according to preliminary statistics unveiled by the Kobe City Government’s Port and Harbor Bureau. Exports accounted for 97,326 TEUs, up 4.6%, and imports, 89,584 TEUs, up 11.5%.
In the first seven months (January–July), Kobe handled 1.23 million TEUs of exports and imports in total, up 1.6%, with the former making up 655,580 TEUs, down 0.1%, and the latter, 575,500 TEUs up 3.6%.
