The port of Shanghai, the world's busiest container port, handled 2.77 million TEUs in June, up 5.7% compared with 2.62 million TEUs for the same month last year. Month-on-month, the figure represents a 2.4% decline against 2.84 million TEUs for May this year.
For the first five months of 2012, Shanghai port processed 15.86 million TEUs, a 3.6% increase year on year.
