With additional 20 companies having been granted Authorized Economic Operator （AEO） status as of May 4, the total number of AEO companies in South Korea has been added up to 313 since the inauguration of the system in April 2009, according to the Korea Customs Service.
AEO means a company validated and authorized by the Korean Customs Service in accordance with authorizing criteria of Law Compliance, Internal Control System, Financial Solvency and Security Management.
In terms of the number of AEO certified companies, South Korea is the sixth country in the world.
