The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will host ''Japan Festival 2012'' from March 9-11 at a hotel in Yangon, Myanmar with an aim to help Japanese enterprises expand their business there. This is the first time for JETRO to hold an exhibition in Myanmar which brings together wide range of made-in Japan products from various sectors.

Forty-four Japanese-affiliated firms in ASEAN nations will participate in the exhibition to display their products including home electrical appliances, office equipment, solar panels, sewing machine, cosmetics, foodstuff, etc. Admission is free.

JETRO is increasing the number of its staff at its Yangon office to cope with rapidly increasing inquiries on trading and investments from Japanese firms looking to enter the country and strengthen its support for those companies.
