The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has announced that work on the double-track project for the 78-kilometer section between Chachoengsao and Laem Chabang was completed on January 12.
The project is part of SRT's BHT176,883 million program for the expansion of rail infrastructure network in the country. The double-track section is expected to increase the proportion of rail transport for containers moving between Laem Chabang and Lat Krabang Inland Container Depot (ICD).
