Informal Red Sea Agreement (IRSA) lines announced Thursday their plan to restore freight rates on the trade from the Far East including Japan to Red Sea ports on a non-biding, voluntary basis. The increase will be $200 per TEU and $400 per FEU, effective July 1, 2011.

The move follows suit with the Informal Rate Agreement's (IRA) announcement to raise rates by the equivalent amount.
