Japan Harbor Transportation Association (JHTA) and All Japan Dockworkers’ Union (JDU) agreed Thursday to shelve their annual spring wage hike negotiations. The dockworkers' union announced they will suspend their proposed strike slated for March 18 and dedicate all their strength to the recovery work of harbor transportation facilities in northeastern ports which were seriously damaged by the massive earthquake on March 11.
