Member lines of the Asia - West Coast South America Freight Conference (AWCSA) has announced they will seek customers understanding on their rate restoration program of US$400 per TEU effective January 3, 2011 in the trades from Asia to West Coast South America (WCSA), Mexico and West Coast Central America (WCCA).
The above program is a voluntary and non-binding working remark which does not bind on the members. They are free to deviate from the remark at their own discretion.
On the trade from Asia to the Caribbean Sea, the Asia to Caribbean Trade Agreement (ACTA) has announced a rate restoration program effective January 1, 2011 at a level of US$280 per TEU and US$400 per FEU. They will seek customers' understanding on this program.
