Busan Port Authority signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday with the four Shandong province ports of Qingdao, Yantai, Weihai and Rizhao for the creation of Northeast Asia Distribution Hub, in a bid to induce more transshipment cargo to and from China via Busan.
Under the what they call ''4 + 1'' agreement, the participants will work together for the development of harbor transportation industry, the activation of cruise industry, and the exchange of information and know-how on port administration.
