According to the public notice of Shenzhen Municipality regarding the tightening control on overloaded trucks, the mid-size or heavy truck which loaded over the maximum cargo weight capacity of the tractor will be detained and have penalty, effective August 1, 2010. The escalating penalty will be imposed not only to the drivers but also the vehicle owners and users as well.
The cargo weight limit is 21.4 tons per TEU and 25 tons per FEU for vehicles moving within Hong Kong; and 22 tons per TEU and FEU for vehicles passing the Hong Kong.
