Japan's exports for June increased 27.7% to 5.866 trillion yen while imports rose 26.1% to 5.179 trillion yen, with trade surplus surging 41% from a year before to 687.0 billion yen (US$7.8 billion), according to a preliminary report released Monday by the Finance Ministry.

Growth is moderating in China, Japan's largest trade partners. Shipments to Europe eased in June with the increase of 9 percent, about half the pace of May's 17.4 percent.

For the first six months, Japan's exports surged 37.9% from the same period last year to 33 trillion yen while her imports rose 23.3% on year to 3.4 trillion yen.
