The TSA Revenue Index for services bound for the West Coast of the U.S. and interior point intermodal (IPI) services was 87.33 points in February 2014, the Transpacific Stabilization Agreement (TSA) said. The index was up by 4.91points month on month from 82.42 points but down by 4.41 points year on year from 91.74 points.

On the other hand, the TSA Revenue Index for services destined to the East and Gulf Coasts stood at 78.99 in the month in question. The index improved by 2.29 points from the previous month, when it registered 76.70 points. It was down 1.76 points from a year earlier, when it was 80.75 points.

The TSA revenue index tracks average revenue per FEU, which includes contracted and on-the-spot freight rates as well as terminal handling charges (THCs) and other non-floating charges but does not include bunker surcharges. The index is based on the 2008 yearly average equaling 100.
