The movement of ferry containers between South Korea and China was favorable in the first two months (January-February), swelling 9.2% from a year earlier to 85,291 TEUs.

Looking at ferry containers carried between the two Asian economies in the two months in question more closely by trade route, 11,276 TEUs were carried on the Inchon/Shanghai route, which went up 11.6%; 8,405 TEUs on the Inchon/Weihai route, up 36.6%; 7,555 TEUs on the Pyontaek/Yantai route, up 39%; 7,414 TEUs on the Inchon/Shidao route, up 19.8%; 6,150 TEUs on the Inchon/Qingdao route, down 9.9%; 6,053 TEUs on the Pyongtaek/Yantai route, up 40%; 6,044 TEUs on the Inchon/Lianyungang route, down 9.3% and 5,000 TEUs on the Inchon/Yantai route, up 3.7%.
