The Foreign Language Training Committee provides a training course for practical English communication for workers engaged in cargo forwarding activities that they can never take anywhere else.

The course, which was launched in fiscal 1999, is offered in Tokyo (from April to September) and Osaka (from October to March).

One semester is made up of 12 two-class sessions (three hours).

For example, problems and typical mistakes in composing practical English sentences are pointed out, and briefings are give on how they can be corrected, while how to write business letters, faxes and e-mail messages accurately is also taught.

By using actual business cases, the course encourages students to learn how they can effectively compose practical English messages.

At the end of semesters, they can take the qualification examinations, and if they pass them, they will receive certificates.
