Indonesia is addressing smooth flow of goods moving into the country through the nation's gateway port of Tanjung Priok by setting a target to shorten dwelling time at the container terminal by two days from the current 4.67 days.

Shippers who fail to pick up containers within a maximum free time of three days will be fined from October 1, 2015. The amount of fine will be increased drastically to 5 million rupiah (about US$341.93) per container from 150,000 rupiah (about $10.26).
