Philippines' Bureau of Customs (BOC) is launching around-the-clock operation for customs procedures at Subic Bay. The main benefits of the program are, among others, that formalities for import and export, X-ray inspection, and transshipment are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The BOC, in partnership with the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) and International Container Terminal Services, Inc.'s (ICTSI) Subic Bay Freeport Port, has opened a one stop shop (OSS) to fast track documentary transactions in Subic Bay's container terminals. The new setup is expected to cut user transaction time from the previous one day to 4 hours.
