The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced that the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) would be available to exporters from May 17, 2015.

Potential benefits of the C-TPAT program include, but are not limited to:
• Prioritized export shipments
• Global security partnerships
• Heightened facilitation from mutually recognized customs partners
• Access to C-TPAT sponsored security seminars
• Reduced examinations

There is no cost to join the C-TPAT Exporter program but exporters that wish to participate in the C-TPAT Exporter program must meet with the program’s definition of an Exporter as well as meet with the eligibility requirements which could be accessed at http://www.cbp.gov/border-security/ports-entry/cargo-security/Exporters
