The Chinese Ministry of Transport has announced that it had implemented administrative punishment on 14 container carriers for either not reporting their freight rates or not carrying out their filed rates or quoting zero freight rates. The total fines amount to RMB2.39 million ($347,247)

The carriers involved are Hamburg Sud, Gold Star Line, Wan Hai Lines (Taiwan), Wan Hai Lines (Singapore), Heung-A Shipping, Korea Marine Transport (KMTC), Evergreen, and CMA CGM Group. The remaining six lines were fined for minor offences and their names have remained undisclosed.
