The Intra-Asia Discussion Agreement (IADA) has recommended its members to implement rate restorations as below in consideration of increase of operational costs, including especially bunker prices, as well as strong market fundamentals toward mid-Feb / early-March that would support revenue recovery.
Southbound: US$20 per TEU, effective February 6, 2017 for shipments from Japan to all IADA corridors.
Northbound: US$50 per TEU, effective February 20, 2017 for shipments from all IADA corridors to Japan.
Any IADA members are free to voluntarily follow the recommendation on an individual basis or take independent policy through individual negotiation between customers and members.
