Container volumes handled at Hong Kong Port decreased 11.0% from a year before to 1.639 million TEUs in July, representing the 25th consecutive month of decline.

Throughput at Kwai Tsing container terminals suffered a modest cutdown of 4.5% from the same month last year to 1.289 million TEUs while box traffic outside of Kwai Tsing such as mid-streaming plunged 28.7% year on year to 350,000 TEUs.

In the first seven months, Hong Kong box throughput fell 8.5% from the same period last year to 10.79 million TEUs.
