An integrated customs clearance and quarantine system has been officially launched in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province since November 19, 2015. The move aims to optimize the workflow of inspection and quarantine process through the integration of customs declaration, inspection and clearance, which should cut the customs clearance process time by at least 0.5 working day for exports and one day for imports, thus enhancing the level of trade facilitation.

The integrated customs clearance reform was first introduced in the Jingjinji (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei) area in July 2014 and then has been expanded nationwide.
