Japan Post announced on Jan. 19 that there is a major delay in mail and parcel delivery by sea to Shanghai and other municipalities in China. A notable increase in mail imports to the Port of Shanghai is hindering China Post’s processing activities, Japan Post said, adding that China’s official postal service provider cannot operate a normal delivery service for the time being.
Mail and parcel delivery by sea to the city of Shanghai as well as the nine provinces of Jiangsu, Anhui, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan and Hainan could be delayed.
