Members of the Unifor-Vancouver Container Truckers’ Association (VCTA), British Columbia’s largest union representing container truck drivers in Port Metro Vancouver, and the United Truckers Association (UTA) are threatening a strike action on February 1 claiming that the 14-point action plan reached with the BC provincial government and other parties in March last year has not been abided by.
Container truck drivers serving Port Metro Vancouver staged a strike for a month in February and March 2014 in protest against rate cutting and low wages.
