105 trade organizations in the U.S. has asked the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) and the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) to close their contract negotiations which started on May 12, 2014 now that the ongoing negotiations have been adversely impacting the supply chain and congestion problems at major West Coast ports in the U.S. and Canada have been worsening.

The group represents manufacturers, agribusinesses, distributors, exporters / importers, retailers, transportation and logistics service providers and wholesalers.
