Container throughput at the port of Shanghai totaled 3.01 million TEUs in September, up 3.7% compared to 2.9 million TEUs in September 2013, according to statistics by Shanghai International Port (Group) Co.
Month on month, September's volumes were 3.2% lower than August's throughput of 3.11 million TEUs.
In the first nine months, the world's busiest container port handled 26.45 million TEUs, up 5.1% from 25.16 million TEUs in the same period last year.
