China's nation-wide ocean cargo totaled 2.62 billion tons in the first three months of the year, up 5.2% over the same period last year. The growth rate shrunk by 4.9 percentage points from the previous year's 10.1%.

Ports container movement in the country in the first quarter posted a 5.5% year-on-year increase in throughput nationwide to 4.559 million TEUs, while also posting a 3.2 percent slower rate of growth.
