Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Commerce and Industry has clarified that they will continue to conduct the radiation inspection for the imported goods coming from Japan prior the issuance of a certificate of conformity for the imported goods to the kingdom, according to Bureau Veritas Japan who is appointed by the Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) as a service provider for implementing a HYPERLINK "http://www.bureauveritas.com/wps/wcm/connect/bv_com/group/services+sheet/3_verification-of-conformity-voc_845"Verification of Conformity programme for goods exported into the country.

It is necessary for Saudi Arabia to make sure before shipment that import products from Japan are free of any radiological elements, the ministry said.
